Satellite Sweethearts: Valentines Photo Series

The Satellite staff was positioned outside the school cafeteria on Feb. 8, asking students to pose with large ‘sweetheart’ paper cutouts as an individual, couple or group. Conversation Sweetheart candy is a staple Valentine’s candy, making up 40 percent of Valentine’s candy market, just behind chocolate according to a Smithsonian Magazine article on the history of sweetheart candy. NHS students and staff shared their positive energy and appreciation for their peers, with these faux candies but none the less sweet messages.
