WIXX Teacher of the Month was awarded to Mrs. Suzette Weisgerber on Wednesday after several nominations by students at NHS.
The award is presented by Marian University in accordance with WIXX 101 (a local radio station). According to WIXX.com, each teacher selected receives a monthly indulgence package including: $100 gift to School House, $100 gift to Day Spa, 100 wing party, a cake from Festival Foods, a gift basket from Parallel 44/ Door 44 winery and a Marian University graduate level credit.
Nominations go through WIXX.com, allowing students to easily submit to have a teacher that has personally impacted them awarded.
“I treat the kids how I would want my sons to be treated,” Weisgerber said. She also added that she is simply doing what feels natural.
Junior Hannah Drewek said, “I nominated Mrs. Weisgerber because she is my favorite teacher.”
