Letter to Editor: Stephen Colbert’s “Americone Dream” Snubbed in Poll
Dear Editor:
In a recent Neenah Satellite poll, different types of ice cream were listed. Of the many options listed, Stephen Colbert’s “Americone Dream” was not an option. At the meeting to create the poll, a large demographic of people nominated the flavor as an option for the poll. Despite such a large desire for Stephen’s ice cream to be listed,Editor-in-Chief Madeline Terlap, refused to list Stephen Colbert’s “Americone Dream” as an option. This complete disregard in the etiquette of making polls shows a great lack of motivation from our leadership. Furthermore, despite “Sherbert” receiving no votes in the polling process, it was still listed as an option. Additionally, “Other” was not listed as an option, leaving out the large portion of the student populous that does not favor the flavors listed. I believe that this great travesty cannot and will not go unresolved if the Satellite polls are to continue. Maddie should either change the poll so that Stephen Colbert’s “Americone Dream” will be listed, or take down the poll for further review.
Sincerely,
Bradley Lewandowski, junior

Americone Dream ice cream is really good. Complete with fudge covered waffle cone pieces and a caramel swirl, it is one of my favorite flavors of ice cream. While it may not be popular with most, it should have been included in the poll. In addition, an option for “Other,” with a fill in the blank bar would have been a nice addition to the poll. The article itself is really wordy, and comes off as way too angry relative to the size and scope of the problem at hand.

justice will be served, with two scoops in a dish.
