NHS Lip Dub Gets a Face Lift

Lip dub video to be shown at the 2017 Diversity Fair features all NHS clubs and sports.

A student is looking to film and produce a re-vamp of the classic NHS lip dub. The video will include a mix of sports and clubs.

The last lip dub video was put together by Nathan Pronschinske, a former NHS student, in 2012.

“Nathan came up with the idea as a leadership project with the help of Mr. Bruce Moriarty,” Mr. Chas Pronschinske, father of Nathan said.

Junior Madelyn Himes is looking to create the new lip dub video. Himes hopes that every student will make an appearance at some point being that there are around 22 sports and over 50 clubs in total.

Himes will not be tackling this tremendous project on her own. With Mr. Chad Bubolz, associate principal, and fellow students by her side, the video will help showcase the many things NHS has to offer.

Bubolz shared that he loved the idea Himes brought forth to him and thinks that it will also be a great additon to show incoming freshman the many options here.

“I’m willing to do any amount of work to put this video together,” Buboltz said.

Himes explained that she wanted to create a lip dub because she felt that the other video was outdated seeing that it was made almost 5 years ago.

“ I wanted to take on this project because I want to be remembered in some way before I graduate,” Himes said.

She also explained that with the addition of many clubs and sports she felt that the old video did not appropriately fit the diversity of present day NHS.

With the purpose of showing diversity and options for students, the lip dub will be completed by this spring and be one of the features in the 2017 Diversity Fair.
