New Coloring Club Brings Inspiration to Students
NHS’s Coloring Club meets on Thursdays from 3:30-4:15 p.m. in Room 312, with the purpose of exploring the simple and easy form of art that it is named after: coloring.
The group was created to bring students together for a time to be social and to relieve the stress of everyday life. “We made Coloring Club as a break from the week. The idea was stress-relief. . . We [also] have a lot of fun conversations about classes and stuff while we’re here,” said senior Beatrice Padgham, the founder of Coloring Club.

I have always been a fan of coloring (as it is the second most relaxing thing next to sleeping) and I think it is amazing that we now have a club that we are able to bring students together to take part in this activity together. One thing I do wish though is that this article described a little more about the club and what they hope to do in the future.

The article does a good job of getting the club out there, providing dates and times for the club. I also like the fact that it includes the ideology of the club. I would like to see a follow-up article on the club to see how it’s effecting students and staff.

Though my skills in the realm of coloring are rough, I enjoy the stress- relief the activity brings. Taking time to relax and unwind is one of the most important aspects in living a healthy life. I believe that this club has a good intent, and I wish to see it flourish in the future.

I think spreading information about this club is important because it may not be well known and coloring is an excellent stress reliever. Students today are under insane amounts of stress and often do not know how to escape. Hopefully more students can join this club and find that coloring helps them feel less stressed.

Personally, I would love to attend coloring club and I think taking time to be mindful and have a mental break in the week promotes better learning and positive energy. Although this activity might not be everyone’s cup of tea, personally coloring both in and out of the lines is my bright spot in days clouded by stress.

With students stressful lives, there is always a need to find relaxation. Coloring is a peaceful as listening to the ocean, and I think the club would be fun to attend.

Although I do not personally color for fun and to relieve stress I could see how others could get enjoyment from that activity. In my eyes one of the hallmarks of Neenah is the plethora of clubs and organizations available to the students. Gathering with people who have similar interests is a great way to stay involved in the community and meet new people. Although only staying with like-minded people is a bad thing.
