Josh Mericle, senior basketball player, made a three-point shot Friday night against Appleton East with three seconds on the clock before the end of the game.

With Mericle’s game-tying shot leading the NHS varsity basketball team into overtime, NHS came out on top with a 56-52 win over the Patriots in the regional semifinal game in the Ron Einerson Fieldhouse.
