Humans of NHS- Tanner Reffke

“This past May, I had to have surgery in order to get my gallbladder removed. It was pretty surreal finding out I had to have it, and I was more scared than anything. After the surgery, it took a while to get adjusted to everyday life. I had to watch what I ate, how much I ate and when I ate. To this day, I’m still a little nervous to eat foods that are pretty fatty. However, all in all, I think it was worth it. What I had to deal with before the surgery caused me to be miserable and stressed. I constantly felt nauseous or there was something in my stomach. The whole situation really just gave me a different outlook on everything in my life.”
