I always think it is great to get a rounded perspective of any situation; the workload of others during finals week is always a controversial topic. I love how Pippa depicted this tide of opinions and passion in only a few cartoon clips with so much style. I don’t think either side is correct. Oftentimes we like to compare our struggles to others and opinions, more often than not, differ. I am not saying that one person’s obstacles or challenges are more or less than anyone else’s. What I am saying is the way we meet these challenges is different as we grow; a struggle we have already overcome may seem like a skip and a jump after we have gotten over the hurdle. Is is these challenges that allow us to learn and grow more and each individual overcomes them differently.
I love your art style! It seems like a lot of cartoons have very similar art styles, but I like that you really have a unique way of drawing. As a senior, I agree that a lot of upperclassmen reflect on their freshman and sophomore years as being incredibly easy, but I completely disagree. My course load my first two years was packed to the brim full of challenging classes, and making the transition from middle school to high school was tough enough on its own. My advice to any underclassmen, as a senior, is, don’t let people tell you that your freshman and sophomore years are easy and useless. Take the time to challenge yourself and build a strong GPA, as this will take lots of pressure off your junior and senior years. Senior year is all about preparing for college or entering the workforce, and believe me, having two releases second semester of senior year was worth all the stress that my first two years brought.
