Neenah High Career Fair 2018
April 24, 2018
NHS will host a student career fair that will be running from mod one to mod four on Wednesday, May 2.
This year’s career fair is expected to be the largest that NHS has ever seen. The guidance counselors have worked hard to provide special seminars designed for each grade level. Students will be learning valuable information while having the opportunity to ask questions to various school representatives or business professionals.
In addition to the seminars, students will have the privilege to interact with 74 different businesses and post-secondary schools from all over the country. Unlike last year, students are blessed with the opportunity to interview with even more companies from the region, that will be hosting live interviews for open jobs positions.
“This event is an amazing opportunity for students to connect with a wide variety of resources! Colleges are recruiting and businesses are struggling to find qualified employees. Whether a student is looking for a potential college or is in search of a job, they will not want to miss this year’s career fair!” Mrs. Lori Uvaas said.
Besides engaging in various learning workshops, students will have the chance to partake in many fun activities. Some activities include a live cooking showdown, a shed build for the Habitat for Humanity and a unique NHS Photo Booth!
Also new to the fair this year, students that are engaged and having a blast will be randomly selected to receive a Ticket To Success Voiture! Once filled out, these tickets will give students the chance to enter into many raffle prizes. The prizes are said to be revealed at the end of the day.
“We are encouraging students to come have some fun and also help themselves plan for a successful future. This event opens doors to so many different opportunities.” Mrs. Beth Altekruse said.
As for the Career Fairs operating schedule, students will report to their first mod class for attendance. Soon after, classes will be dismissed over the loudspeaker to their appropriate location. Throughout mods, one through four students will report to their destinations that are highlighted below.
