Humans of NHS – Courtney Craddock

Collin Parker, Student of Journalism

“I joined powerlifting out of spite because I was told I was too small. From my perspective, I owed it to myself to prove them wrong no matter how much I wanted to quit. It wasn’t easy because I hurt my knee cap in a skiing accident that happened during the season. Every day I went down to the physical therapist to tape my dislocated knee cap in place before practice and then I would lift every day. I don’t know, I think I just showed I can prove people wrong.” — Courtney Craddock, class of 2020
