Humans of NHS – Oli Balke
September 15, 2019
“I mostly steal clothes out of my parent’s closet. I feel like the one thing that influences my style the most is to be approachable. Like, if I were to wear something that could possibly scare off another person, that is something that I absolutely do not want. I wanna be more paternal looking, so people know that if they need help in a class that they are not afraid to just lean over and ask me a question or anything of the sort because I wanna be a reliable person and I want people to like me.” — Oli Balke, class of 2020

Of all the Humans of NHS stories I read, this one really intrigued me the most. I like the unique approach the quote takes, specifically talking about style and how much it affects your image and how others perceive you.
