Hidden Hero of NHS Pushes Through Work the Right Way
October 13, 2019
The average man doesn’t usually see himself as an asset to the bigger picture of their job, especially on discouraging days. Also, most don’t realize how important some people are to their everyday lives.
At NHS, a prime example of this type of under appreciated, peacekeeper is Phill Tanvas. A man passionate about getting up everyday and changing the world around him. He works two jobs: cleaning the halls of NHS and delivering pizza for Pizza Hut.
Phill is just like anyone else: wakes up, showers, watches a little sports before heading off to the daily grind. He knows that work can get repetitive, boring, and unmotivating, but he doesn’t let that get to him. He does his best to look at the bigger picture.
Focusing on the importance of his position, and how fortunate he is to have a steady job, he pushes on. When seeking a boost of motivation, he thinks about his father working extensive hours at the Neenah Foundry.
“You can have a new house, car, or whatever you want, if you just work hard and are willing to put the time in.”
Along with deeper meaning to living, Phill has more surfaced concerns. He obviously wants to make money. Money is a drive for everyone, everywhere. For someone who loves to drive, help others, travel, play video games, Phill is just like any other person going through life’s ups-and-downs. The ability to keep his head up while in an unappreciated position is a strength many lack.
Phil is a force that maintains Neenah High’s daisy fresh smell that we take for granted everyday.
