Salutes and Slams: Week of Nov. 20

Salutes:
- Sophomores recieved a well-presented, important message from PARTY at the PAC on Nov. 13.
- Student body and staff look forward to competing or cheering in Phase 1 basketball game on Thursday.
- This year’s school report card showcases NHS’s overall improvement in scores.
- Many anticipate a high-quality Opener performance by NHS showchoir and music groups on Tuesday.
Slams:
- Freshman and Sophomore ACT Aspire testing falls inconveniently at the end of the school day, provoking students’ feelings of underpreparation.
- Student bussing runs on an inconvenient schedule and creates discomfort for many students as the weather declines.
- Lack of communication prior to Nov. 13 regarding the altered schedule for PARTY at the PAC left students confused.
- With Thanksgiving break approaching, some teachers feel the need to assign extra material and homework.
