I have always really enjoyed the pep rallies at NHS, so I can not imagine what Homecoming or Winterfest would be like without them. It is weird to think that younger classes will not get to experience pep rallies like we did. It isn’t ideal that we live in a time that this is a concern, but I am glad that the administration is looking out for students’ safety. The info graphic is also really aesthetically appealing and very informative.
I honestly think that pep rallies are necessary because they have a place in school culture and need to happen. Some people may think they are boring or not cool but students and staff put a lot of time into preparing for assemblies to happen. It makes me sad that as a student body we can’t be trusted not to sit in the gym for an hour and enjoy each other’s company and show some school spirit.
As a graduating senior, I really could not imagine my high school experience without pep rallies. I respect the administration’s concern for student’s safety; however, seeing all 2,000 of your peers is such a unique experience. I believe pep rallies really show our school’s diversity and spirit! Additionally, I really like how the infographic displays the information in an easy to read format.
