“Walking into freshman year, I wouldn’t have believed I be this into high school. I was very much a keep your head down, try to figure out your classes, and just get in get out, don’t get involved. What pulled me out of that was getting to surround myself with people who were involved, because first, it was join debate, then it was join Key Club, then it was join student government. Then it was, well if you’re in debate, then you’ve got to join forensics. Then it was if you’re in French class, you’ve got to join French club, duh.
