“After high school, I plan on going to UW-La Crosse, specifically for the department of health sciences. I have always been interested in the healthcare field. After taking health careers 1 and 2, as well as the certified nursing assistant class here at the high school, my mind was made on what I wanted to do in the future. I chose the University of La Crosse because of how beautiful not only the campus is, but the whole city as well. The bluffs are gorgeous, and the downtown area is so fun to walk through. Another reason I decided to stay closer to home is because of my younger siblings. I have a 3-year-old sister, Koralyn, and another baby sibling on the way. Staying close to them and being part of their lives as they grow up was super important to me, and I wanted to make sure that is possible. Ultimately, I feel like I am pretty set for the future, but things could always change.” — Kaitlyn Fleege, class of 2024
