Neenah Middle School and High School orchestras perform at Stringfest in the Competition Gym in Neenah High School at 7 p.m. The bleachers were filled with families of these young musicians.
When asked about what inspired the music, Neenah High School orchestra teacher, Mr. Philip Smyth, explains, “I chose music that large groups could play and enjoy as well.”
When every song finished, the audience was filled with cheers and applause.
An audience member, Kathy Connoly, said, “It was hard finding a parking spot even though it was 20 minutes before the concert.”
Stringfest is destined to return in two years while Band’O’Rama performs next year with all the Neenah band players.

Congrats all! Although I wasn’t able to attend, I did love hearing some of the practice before. Looking forward to next year!
