Mr. Nate Werner, activities director, had much to say about the importance of clubs in the school. “Being in clubs teaches life lessons,” was just a fragment of what he had to say. A correlation exists between a student’s G.P.A. in and out of season, with many studies showing that the student’s G.P.A. is higher in season. So with all these positives of joining a sport or a club, what opportunities exist for students at NHS? Everything! From art to fishing to gaming to clubs that celebrate diversity, a gamut of activities are offered here.
Mrs. Deb Garbe, the leader of the culinary team, proudly stated that the number of people on the team has been increasing over the years. Mrs. Lori Uuvas leader of NHS’s newest club, the knitting club, said, “I hope that now, with fall cross country ending, that we see more people.”
