The backpack serving as the focal point for most of these photos makes a great central theme for the photo essay to follow. The start and end points of the slideshow seem to be off, but the photos follow an interesting narrative, starting local and ending international with a promise for more traveling.
I think the organization of the commentary attached with each photo enhances the the experience of the photography. I think that the photos build in intensity and mimic a climax ordering that captivates the readers’ attention. Additionally these photos seem to display parallelism and contrast within the series, some had similar physical setups (regarding the position of Ksenya) that would oppose the ones that had more emphasis due to the contrast, the most notable being the picture in which the reader is first exposed to Ksenya’s face.
This is a fantastic collection of photos. The photographs are very minimalistic, but are still able to convey their message. The unique photos along with their brief explanations gives the audience enough context to imagine the rest of the trip without compromising the image.
I enjoyed these travel photos, Ksenya! Reading about a person’s travels is alright, but I think its more interesting to be able to experience the story from a more visual perspective. Looking at these pictures I felt like I was traveling with Ksenya on her adventures.
I love this photo collage! Photography always catches the eye, but I do think this slideshow had an interesting take, with Ksenya writing in the third person. That being said, I liked how the single sentence attached to each picture created a context as to what I was looking at.
Side note, I think there may have been a typo with the quote, where it says “anywhere” instead of “everywhere”

To be so young and beginning to follow your dream of seeing the entire world is pretty amazing! You inspire me, Ksenya!
