The Powder Puff Football matches made for a spectacular evening in Rocket stadium (Wednesday). Scores of students came out to support and cheer on their favorite teams.

“I’m here to support the Drama Mamas!” Noah Oubelkho said. While the Drama Mamas were a fan favorite, Atomic Babes coach Ethen Emenecker maintained full faith in his team. He stated with confidence, “We’ve had three practices leading up to the game tonight.  Our defense is looking great; all we need is a little more on offense.”

By the end of the match-up between the Drama Mamas and the Atomic Babes, the Atomic Babes came out on top, and continued to the next round. The Drama Mamas did not leave sullen, though.

After her team’s loss, Sammie Meverden, said that  she felt pretty good.  “We tried our hardest; we gave a 110 percent.” All of the games played were filled with quarterback sneaks, interceptions, and other non-regulation plays.

Powder Puff made for an excellent ending for the school week’s activities. Homecoming activities are not over yet, though! Friday night at 7 p.m. is the varsity football game, and Saturday night at 8 p.m. is the dance. Check out photos from Powder Puff Below.
