Fun Begins for Mamma Mia's Cast and Fans

Mamma Mia festivities began for the Neenah community with a roller skating dance-like party on Friday, Sept. 29 at the Gateway Plaza.

Sophomore Alivia Haller, casted as Sophie Sherdian, offered insight into her character and the plot.

“My character Sophie. She is having a wedding, and she invites three possible dads to her wedding. Her goal is to find out, which one is her dad. Then the mom, Donna, is taken back into the old days to remember what it was like when the dads were around,” Haller said.

Miss Kaitlyn Bergmann, marketing manager for Mamma Mia, shared lingo with enthusiasm as she educated potential viewers.

Mamma Mia is a fun upbeat musical that is actually called a jukebox musical, and what that means is that all of the songs in the musical are by one band.  All the songs in Mamma Mia are by the band Abba. It is set in Greece. It’s upbeat. It’s fun and is a good time for the whole family,” Bergmann said.

Everyone who went enjoyed some roller skating and choreography from the cast of Mamma Mia.

Fans can watch Mamma Mia the Musical Oct. 18-21 at 7 p.m. and Oct.,  22 at 2 p.m. Tickets are now on sale through Rocketplayers.com, and they are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
