Traveling 6,371 miles away from home is a huge jump for any student in high school.
This bold girl, however, leapt with wild abandon and could not be happier.
NHS welcomes Ann Ramisvili, from Georgia, who is always the picture of style with her fetching accessories and multiple rings.
One of the many reasons she is so happy is none other than Starbucks. Ramisvili’s grin widened as she said, “Drinking Starbucks coffee was on my list of things to do once I arrived in America.”
Since she has been here, she has happily sipped her Starbucks coffee most mornings.
To stay active Ramisvili joined the swim team. With daily practice and one or two meets per week, this exchange student has been busy. Luckily, she has become the only child with her new host family. The Zwaska family opened their home to Ramisvili on Aug. 13, and she has been nothing but happy. She does, however, miss her mother, brother, sister and all of her goldfish back home.
She also stressed that many school related differences exist. In Georgia, located in between Russia and Turkey, the teachers move rooms and students stay in their seats. Ramisvilli also said the school size is much larger, which she is enjoying. She said, “Everyone is so kind; no stress and I am making so many friends.”
Ramisvili, with a twinkle in her blue eyes, said that her experience at NHS so far has been fantastic. She is loving all of her new friends, teachers and teammates.
Overall as Ramisvili reflects on her leap to Neenah, she knows she is making memories with her Starbucks coffee in hand and swim team friends by her side.
