Officer Strebel Back on Duty at NHS

After eight long, hardworking years of patrol work, Officer Vicki Strebel has come back to Neenah High School and plans on being here for as long as she can. She loves her job and could never see herself doing anything else. She is an outgoing and big hearted woman who would do anything for the kids at N.H.S.

Officer Strebel grew up in a nice household on Green Bay. Her family was one that many would dream of. A father and mother watching over her and siblings, who mean a lot to her. As she grew older she realized that even though her life was full with love and support, and other people’s lives were not like her’s.

She grew a desire to help other people, so they could understand how wonderful life can really be. Although she didn’t have full support from her parents when deciding to becoming a police officer, Officer Strebel made up her mind and stuck to what she wanted, and knew her parents would still be proud.

She has been involved with the law enforcement for roughly 19 years, starting out working in 1996. From 1996 to 1999 she worked for the town of Menasha Police Department, 1999 to 2004 she worked for the Neenah Police Department. Then she became liaison at our high school and stayed until 2007. She went back onto patrol until now, this is her first year back at the high school.

As for 10 years or so down the road she plans on continuing her success and staying in the same field of work. But when her time comes, and she is getting older she would hope to be part of T.S.A.(Transportation Security Administration) at the airports, otherwise she would like to be on the investigating unit.

Overall Officer Strebel is a wonderful, loving, caring and outgoing person. Her only goal in life truly seems to be the betterment of others. I am glad to have gotten to know her and share her story with you.
