Herb Kohl Education Foundation awarded their Teacher Fellowship Award and Excellence Scholarship to Neenah teacher Andra Mory and Kim Kemppainen, senior, respectively.

Kemppainen received $5,000 in scholarship money. She is one of 207 graduating seniors honored across the state. With a 3.83 grade point average and numerous advanced classes, Kemppainen is the president of student council, member of Key Club and National Honor Society. She also participates in debate and forensics, which she has won numerous awards from, as well as attending Badger Girls State last summer.

Ms. Mory began her teaching career in Neenah in 1988 where she has spent 25 years teaching kindergarten through third grade at Tullar Elementary, Taft Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, Lakeview Elementary, and Alliance Charter Elementary.

Both recipients will receive their awards at a banquet at Waupun High School on April 23.
